Today (November 25) The Weeknd released his blockbuster of a new album, Starboy.

Of his entire discography, Starboy has the highest profile cameos, including Daft Punk (the title track, “I Feel It Coming”), Lana Del Rey (“Party Monster,” “Stargirl Interlude”), Future (“Six Feet Under,” “All I Know”) and Kendrick Lamar (“Sidewalks”). Its DeBarge-meets-Off the Wall production, featuring input by pop savants Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, also sounds luxe.

But what is most striking, at least on first listen, is how much the Weeknd has changed since even last year’s Beauty Behind the MadnessStarboy begins sounding like an action thriller, its opening songs being the title track, “Party Monster” and dance-punk turn “False Alarm.” Yet its conclusion is “I Feel It Coming” — an actual romantic note, coming from an artist who has sworn time and time again that he’d never be a heartthrob.

The Weeknd also appeared on The Tonight Show to perform a “I Feel It Coming” and “Starboy” medley. Watch his performance and stream Starboy below.
