Mariah Carey To Perform On ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ From Times Square

The holiday season should just be renamed Mimi Season at this point. Mariah Carey already has her annual slate of Christmas performances lined up at the Beacon, she’s returning to the VH1 Divas stage for next week’s holiday special, her reality series premieres in a few days and now she’s been tapped to perform at Times Square on New Year’s Eve.
For the first time since 2005, Carey is performing as part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest. She headlines a roster that also includes DNCE, Gloria Estefan with the cast of her new musical and country artist Thomas Rhett. The AP reports that the diva will perform just before the ball drops.
The NYE show starts December 31 on ABC.
