Meghan Trainor has canceled the rest of 2016 tour. The pop star took to Instagram on Thursday (December 8) to announce the news, publishing a heartfelt note to her fans and saying that the doctor ordered her to be on “strict vocal rest.”

“I posted last week that I wasn’t feeling great, but was powering through the best that I could,” Trainor revealed. “Unfortunately, I am not feeling any better and after leaving the doctor today, I have been put on a strict vocal rest for the next two weeks.”

She continued, “This absolutely kills me because I was so excited to see all of you on the road. I’m going to go home as soon as I can. I love you so much and am so appreciative of your love and support that you constantly show me. You mean everything to me. Can’t wait to see you in 2017!”

Some of the dates that Trainor had to cancel this time around include a number of Jingle Ball performances on the East Coast.

This also isn’t the first time the singer nixed a tour due to issues with her vocal chords. Just last year, Trainor canceled a set of live shows to undergo vocal cord surgery.

Here’s to hoping she gets better.
