The Two Most-Watched Music Videos Of 2016 Came Out In 2015

In the perfect capper to an abysmal year, the two most-watched videos of 2016 came out in 2015. And another in the top 10 is from 2014. Justin Bieber‘s “Sorry,” which came out in October of last year, topped Vevo’s list of annual streaming numbers with 1.8 billion views this year. Adele‘s “Hello” was next with 1.3 billion. The video for Mark Ronson‘s mega-hit “Uptown Funk,” which came out over two years ago, was in the No. 8 spot with 825 million plays.

In fact, those aren’t even the exceptions, as most of the most-watched music videos of the year didn’t come out this year. Only “Work From Home,” “This Is What You Came For,” “Work” and the frigging “Closer” lyric video are 2016 products.
