Nardwuar did the world a service by posting his old interviews with Destiny’s Child and Solange from 2002. Perhaps because both Knowles sisters are dominating the year-end lists, the famously pesky interviewer unearthed the clips from his archives.
The two chats are much shorter than his usual interviews — he caught Destiny’s Child moments before they were taking the stage in Tacoma, and in fact at the time he said it was the shortest interview he’s ever done. Basically all he got was a Kelly Rowland burp before the trio hopped on a golf cart to the stage.
As for Solange, she was 16 at the time and stresses she is from “a very talented family.” They talked about her mall performances and the plot holes of 8 Mile.
