Zedd Hints At A Collaboration With Alessia Cara On Instagram
Alessia Cara could be the next pop star to join forces with Zedd. “Who’s ready for ZEDD x ALESSIA CARA,” the German DJ captioned a pic of the somewhat unlikely (potential) collaborators at a nightclub. While it’s hard to imagine the singer on a club track (she literally sang about wanting to stay at home on “Here”), I’ll give this the benefit of the doubt. After all, Zedd successfully brought Hayley Williams, Kesha and Selena Gomez into the club fold.
Alessia is on one hell of a roll. The 20-year-old established herself as one of the year’s breakout stars with loner anthem “Here” and mega-ballad “Scars To Your Beautiful,” which is currently the 5th most-played track on US radio. She also has a hit on her hands with Moana theme song “How Far I’ll Go.” I think there’s a lot of life left in her debut LP, Know-It-All, but this would be a good way of maintaining momentum if the Canadian decides to move straight on to her sophomore set.
