The week after the holidays, US music consumers opted for…holiday music. Their peppermint-flavored fix of choice: A Pentatonix Christmas, which spends a second week atop the Billboard 200, with 101,000 equivalent album units moved and 82,000 copies sold. The a cappella set was initially released in October. Pentatonix‘s 2014 holiday offering, That’s Christmas To Me, also hangs in the Top 10 this week, at #9.

Over on the Hot 100 singles roundup, Rae Sremmurd ensure The Weeknd‘s stint at #1 with “Starboy” was a short one by reclaiming the top spot with “Black Beatles.” It’s the seventh non-consecutive week in the uppermost position for the latter.

On that note, roll on the 2017 releases already, to start breaking up the log-jam.
