The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” Does Not Feature French Singer Louane

UPDATE: It turns out the uncredited singer is Emily Warren, who penned “Don’t Let Me Down.” Listen here.

The Chainsmokers‘ next single, “Paris,” arrives Friday (January 13), but a leaked version surfaced in recent days. Right away you’ll notice that opening line is a different take from the one in the HQ snippet the duo shared yesterday, so this is probably a demo version. But it at least gives you an idea of what to expect with the song (hint: more of the same!).

The other thing about the leak is that everywhere it appears, the featured singer is credited as Louane. Most likely that’s the French singer who garnered acclaim after appearing on France’s version of The Voice in 2013. Chainsmokers fans have suspected she’s the female heard on the song for a while, because The Chainsmokers raved about working with her over the summer. (Plus, her placement would make total sense given the locale of the song’s story.)
