Drake & Rihanna’s “Too Good” Gets A Cover By The xx
The xx released their third album, I See You, today, and over in the UK they appeared on BBC’s Live Lounge to promote the drop. As is tradition, they performed one of their own tracks (“On Hold”) and a cover (Drake and Rihanna‘s Views collab “Too Good.”)
“We love this song,” Oliver Sim said about the cover. “We have taken it to a different place— it’s maybe not as danceable, but we hope you enjoy it.” The result feels like it was an xx song all along, which is stunning or an abomination, depending on where you stand with the British trio.
