Sophia Grace’s Latest Banger Is An Ode To “Hollywood”

Sophia Grace became a YouTube phenomenon way back in 2012 when she covered Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” with her cousin Rosie. It was unusual material for a (then) 9-year-old and she soon became a staple on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Since then, the Brit has released a string of outrageous bangers including “Best Friends,” which surprised everyone by reaching number 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2015, and Silento-assisted anthem, “Girl In The Mirror.” The now-teenager’s debut EP finally arrives today (January 20) as well as the video for title track, “Hollywood.”

By now you know what to expect from Sophia. “Hollywood” is an age-inappropriate (in a cute way) club track about living it up in Tinseltown — complete with lyrics about rocking the red carpet and turning up downtown. It gets particularly ridiculous/enjoyable when the 13-year-old drops her signature rap. “I’m feeling so good, I’m feeling Hollywood,” she spits. “I’m dropping the beats, dropping the bass to make you feel good. I switch lanes, I change the game.” As with her previous singles, this is a total guilty pleasure.
