Kelly Rowland Hints At New EDM Sound
Kelly Rowland's new album is slowly coming together & it could be a dance opus.

All signs point to Kelly Rowland’s fifth LP arriving in 2017. The pop star is raising her profile with sexy photo shoots, new music (that “Conceited” snippet is very promising) and interviews. While the 35-year-old hasn’t given too much away in any of the latter, she keeps dropping hints about releasing a dance album. “It’s happy,” the “Kisses Down Low” diva says of the opus in a new Q&A in LENNY. “I said I wanted a record full of up-tempos. A lot of my albums and songs have been slow, except for tracks like ‘Commander’ or ‘When Love Takes Over.'”

“I said I wanted this record to be happy because we need that right now, more than ever. That’s where my heart is.” That’s consistent with what she told Schön! Magazine in September. “I’m so happy I met David [Guetta] because he put EDM in my blood,” Kelly enthused. “It’s a part of my freedom when I’m on stage… so it will definitely be a part of the record — abso-fucking-lutely.” This sounds really exciting. As much as I love the Destiny’s Child singer’s slow jams, her voice is perfect for club music and it’s hotter than ever on radio right now.
