You Can’t Hold A Good Diva Down! Ciara Signs To Warner Bros

Did LA Reid Drop Ciara On Twitter?
LA Reid set tongues wagging by calling out a (former) Epic artist via Twitter.

Never count Ciara out. That lesson should be taught in school along with reading, writing and arithmetic. “We welcome Ciara to Warner Bros. Records and look forward to the next chapter of her storied music career,” label CEO, Cameron Strang, said in a press release. Of course, the R&B diva found herself between labels after the commercial failure of 6th LP, Jackie. To make matters worse, she might have been dumped by LA Reid on Twitter. “My name is NO, MY sign is NO, My answer is NO,” he tweeted mysteriously. “Not signed here baby!”

Well, Epic’s loss is Warner’s gain. “Proud to announce and honored to join the family!” the 31-year-old wrote in a gushing Instagram post. “To all my Ladies out there… this is truly a time where we can do anything, be anything we want, & Love to the fullest while being loved in return… there is No Limit! Dreams really do come true!” She even gave a hint at her new sound: “I’m supercharged to make the World Dance again!”

I’m happy Ciara landed on her feet and optimistic about this partnership. Warner has a solid R&B roster, but they are a little thin on the pop/crossover front. In fact, with the exception of Bebe Rexha, they are sorely lacking in fabulous divas and the “Goodies” hitmaker fills the void nicely. Hopefully, we’re on the brink of a comeback that returns Ci to the upper reaches of the Billboard Hot 100. See her Instagram post below and watch a celebratory cover of Diana Ross’s “Coming Out” at the bottom of the post.
