Zara & David's "This One's For You"
Zara Larsson teams up with David Guetta on dance anthem "This One's For You."

It looks like Zara Larsson wasn’t the first choice for David Guetta’s “This One’s For You.” A demo of the dance anthem featuring Ariana Grande surfaced online this morning (January 30) and it makes for an interesting comparison. The Swede’s delivery is more powerful and attention-grabbing, while the poster girl for ponytails’ version is more emotional. Both of them work, but I guess Zara’s was more likely to fire up fans at a major sporting event. (It was the official theme song for UEFA Euro 2016).

While “This One’s For You” failed to crack the Billboard Hot 100, it was a major hit around the world — reaching the top 10 in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungry, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Slovakia, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Basically, anywhere with a competitive soccer team. Ariana is doing well enough on her own, but the collaboration could have raised her profile even further in Europe. I guess she was too busy promoting Dangerous Woman. Anyway, listen to her demo below.
