She’s Coming! Selena Gomez Teases Kygo Collab “It Ain’t Me”
UPDATE: Selena has shared a second snippet. Listen below.
Well, that didn’t take long! Selena Gomez registered a new song called “It Ain’t Me” with ASCAP earlier this week and today (February 3), she shares a snippet on Instagram. At least, I think so because she didn’t specify a title. “I had a dream we were back at 17,” the 24-year-old sings over drowsy house beats. “Summer nights and liberties, never growing up.” I like the acoustic guitar and the lyrics already have me in my feelings. A drop would really bring the song to life, but this is very promising.
According to ASCAP, “It Ain’t Me” was co-written by Selena, Kygo (I assume he also produced it) and the trio behind DJ Snake & Justin Bieber’s “Let Me Love You” — Brian Lee, Ali Tamposi and Andrew Watt. She has also been working on hits with The Futuristics (MGK and Camila Cabello’s “Bad Things”), Jonas Jeberg (Kylie Minogue’s “All I See”) and Jacob Kasher (Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know”). It looks like the follow-up to Revival is well and truly starting to take shape. Listen to a snippet of what is potentially the pop star’s next single below.
