Snippets & Refreshed Socials: Selena Gomez Is Up To Something

Selena Gomez’s new era could be a lot closer than we thought. The pop star refreshed her all-conquering Instagram account last night (February 8) with a new avatar. It’s a glossy, blue-lit portrait that wouldn’t look out of place on the cover of a single or album. Things get even more interesting when you learn that Sel’s stylist, Chris Classen, tagged “Hands To Myself” director Alek Keshishian in the pic. Are we looking at a still from the “It Ain’t Me” video or am I just a conspiracy theorist with too much time on my hands? We’ll know soon enough!

Regardless of the origins of Selena’s glamorous new avi, the follow-up to Revival is slowly coming together. Dubbed SG2 by fans (despite it being her third album without The Scene), the opus already has a potential lead single in the form of a Kygo-produced bop. Sel recently shared a snippet of “It Ain’t Me” on Instagram and it sounds like a hit. “I had a dream we were back at 17,” the 24-year-old sings over drowsy house beats. “Summer nights and liberties, never growing up.” See the mysterious new image below.
