Grammy Awards 2017: Watch The Performances
Watch Beyonce, Adele, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry & The Weeknd perform at the Grammys.

EDIT: Joy Villa’s EP is now number 1 on iTunes.

Forget about Adele. The biggest winner at the 59th Grammy Awards was unknown singer, Joy Villa. She grabbed headlines for walking the red carpet in sartorial tribute to Donald Trump, complete with his slogan (“Make America Great Again”) and name emblazoned on the fabric. The daring ensemble instantly incurred the wrath of social media, but clearly went down a treat with conservatives. The 25-year-old’s 2014 debut EP, I Make The Static, is surging up the iTunes download chart — currently hovering just outside the top 10 at number 12.

The stunt was also a boon for Joy’s social numbers. She went from approximately 15,000 followers on Twitter at the beginning of the night to just under 60,000 now. Who says trolling doesn’t pay? Amazingly, the dress is the handiwork of fashion designer, Andre Soriano — a Filipino immigrant. “I’ve never been in the political arena,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “However, it’s just so crazy that people are getting beat up because they voted for Trump.” 2017 is wild! See more pics of Joy’s dress below.
