Britney Spears’ One-Sided Beef With Katy Perry
Britney Spears can’t land a hit or distinguish shade from harmless humor. It seems the pop icon took offense at a comment Katy Perry made on the red carpet at the Grammys. E! News asked about the unusually long break between albums and she replied: “That’s called taking care of your mental health.” Feelings were obviously hurt when the “Chained To The Rhythm” diva added: “I haven’t shaved my head yet.” Katy then recycled the quip in another interview. After a day of contemplation, the person running Britney’s socials replied with a bible quote.
“Her mouth speaks from that which fills her heart,” she quoted Luke 6:45 using feminine pronouns. Give me a break. Firstly, if you’re going to beef, make sure it’s not one-sided. Britney’s 2007 buzzcut is synonymous with having a breakdown. It’s not personal, just an iconic pop culture moment that’s referenced every day. This overreaction is particularly ridiculous when you consider that Katy is a loud and proud Britney fan. She even contributed the best song to Britney Jean (“Passenger”). See the mess unfold below.
