Maroon 5 & Future's Icy Break-Up Song
Maroon 5 and Future team up for icy break-up anthem "Cold."

Never accept a drink at Future’s house. (Or always accept one, depending on your idea of a good time). That’s the moral of Maroon 5’s trippy “Cold” video. Adam Levine’s night takes a twist for the weirder when his whiskey is spiked with a little acid. Instead of crawling back to his car and getting the hell out of there, the band’s frontman goes along for the ride and calmly watches police cars float over the dance floor (among other things). It all turns out ok though and Adam even remembers to buy milk for his wife on the way home.

“Cold” dropped yesterday and it offere welcome counter-programming for Valentine’s Day. “Cold enough to chill my bones, it feels like I don’t know you anymore,” he seethes on the chorus. “I don’t understand why you’re so cold to me, with every breath you breathe.” Future compounds the message with a snappy verse. The relatable anthem proved an instant hit with fans, cracking the iTunes top 10 within hours. It’s destined to climb a lot higher with the arrival of the video (above) and a killer performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (below).
