Selena Gomez & Kygo's upcoming collab "It Ain't Me" gets a video preview.

Yes, you read that right: Vin Diesel has made his pop music debut. According to the action superstar himself, Norwegian DJ Kygo mixed his vocals into “It Ain’t Me,” his brand new collaboration with Selena Gomez.

Just before the moody club track was released, the action superstar posted behind-the-scenes footage where he heads to the studio, steps into the booth and is commended for “put[ting] so much passion” into the session. “I don’t know how you did it @kygomusic,” Vin said on Facebook. “Who would have ever believed how mixing my voice with @selenagomez could be so powerful!”

Four years ago, almost to the exact date, Vin first made his boundless love for pop music known when he posted a surprise, earnest karaoke rendition of Rihanna‘s “Stay.” At the studio with Kygo, the xXx: Return of Xander Cage star reminisced over those days — and thought about how far he’s come since.

“[F]or years I have done low tech karaoke for you die hard fans, often showing a different and emotional side. But I was never invited into a professional studio, or never had the courage to try it for real with an engineer and everything,” he said. “The magician somehow took my voice and and added it to the super talented Selena… Kygo sent over the track today and I am Speechless. Wow. Just speechless.”
