Well, this isn’t exactly surprising. Queen Bey has withdrawn from this year’s Coachella line-up on doctor’s orders. “Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival,” a statement made to the Associated Press reads. Don’t be too upset, though. “However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”

This seems like a sensible move. The Lemonade diva, who is pregnant with twins, would have been severely restricted performance-wise at Coachella. It’s one thing to perform half a 12-minute set at the Grammy’s sitting down, but that doesn’t really translate well to a festival — particularly without the benefit of elaborate staging, screens and dancers. She still would have slayed (I would watch her sing nursey rhymes on a sofa), but this is an important milestone in her career and I’m glad she will be able to put on a proper show.

Now, who are they going to find to replace her? Those are impossible shoes to fill!
