Taylor Swift’s 6th LP Will Drop Before Xmas, According To Ed Sheeran
Cherish the next few, blessed months without Taylor Swift dominating the airwaves. They will come to an end before the end of the year when the 27-year-old rolls out her sixth album. At least, according to Ed Sheeran. “I think this year is going to be the high point,” the “Shape Of You” hitmaker revealed in an interview with the BBC. “I have a feeling about it. Seventeen is my lucky number, and everyone I was scared of releasing of albums around me released them all last year — people like Beyonce and The Weekend and Bruno Mars.”
This is where it gets interesting. “Taylor [Swift] isn’t going to be releasing until probably the end of this year — Christmas is the smartest time to release because that’s when everyone buys records,” he continues. “So I’ve got a full year of just all Ed, all the time.” That strikes me as a little egotistical, particularly with Katy Perry, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake and Kanye West rolling out new albums. It looks like Ed is really letting that success get to his head.
