Steps Will Return In 2017
2017 is so wild. Y2K pop group Steps has announced a very unlikely comeback.

Whispers about a Steps reunion started swirling at the top of the year when the Y2K pop group performed a New Year’s Eve set at London’s GAY nightclub. Well, the comeback is pretty much confirmed. Claire Richards (top left) tweeted a link to a countdown on Twitter with the simple caption: “HERE WE GOOOOOOO!” It didn’t take long for Ian ‘H’ Watkins (the guy with the bad hair) to reply. “I’m SO EXCITED! Think I’m going to BURST!” he enthused. The most cogent evidence, however, is a now-deleted link to their new album.

An opus called Tears On The Dancefloor was briefly available to pre-order on Amazon UK. (It had an April 21 release date). No doubt, Steps will officially confirm the new album when the countdown ends on Monday. As for their new direction? They are promising a more mature approach. I don’t know what that means, but something along the lines of “Last Thing On My Mind,” “Heartbeat/Tragedy” or “Love’s Got A Hold On My Heart” would do nicely. Knowing them, it’s fair to expect a cover or two. Revisit their biggest hit below.
