Pink's 'Missundaztood' Turns 15
We look back on the success and impact of Pink's iconic sophomore 'Missundaztood' LP.

Remy Ma has said what she need to say about Nicki Minaj. Speaking on The Wendy Williams Show with Plato O Plomo rap partner Fat Joe, she explained her rationale behind brutal diss track “Shether.” And while Remy spoke tactfully, she also dressed in all black, complete with a veil.

“My grandmother told me to never speak ill of the dead,” she said.

Remy says that lyrics that people read as subliminal disses from Nicki weren’t the issue, as hip-hop culture thrives off that competitive nature. Rather, Remy hinted at how The Pinkprint rapper has tried to sabotage her career as she apparently has with other female artists, as she also claimed on “Shether.”

“I feel that is weird because she’s been doing this to a lot of females, from Lil Kim to Mariah [Carey], to Taylor [Swift], to Hannah [Montana, or Miley Cyrus], and no one says anything. It wasn’t necessarily the little subliminal stuff on records because I didn’t care. I don’t care about records. I’ve spoken to her before — like whatever, you’re supposed to say ‘I’m the best,’ whatever. It was the behind-the-scenes things that you people would never know about, as far as trying to keep me off of red carpets and trying to make sure awards don’t go to me or she’s not going to be in attendance or trying to get people to make bad reports about my album sales or just anything that I’m doing, to make me look less and make her look better.”

Last night (March 2) Remy did what Drake did to Meek Mill and released “Another One,” an attempt to taunt Nicki for not responding. The latest diss track lacks the lyrical punch and shock value of the first, despite her claims that she bought some “footage” that Nicki wouldn’t want others to see. This Wendy Williams interview, however, is bound to keep folks talking. Watch below.
