Kiiara's "Feels" Video
Kiiara shares the video for 'Low Kii Savage' single "Feels" and it's low-key trippy.

2017 is a funny old year. The Chainsmokers have three songs in the top 10, Ed Sheeran is the heartthrob du jour and Linkin Park appears to have switched genres. I have to admit, I lost track of the band after A Thousand Suns, so I was genuinely surprised by the emo-pop of “Heavy.” I’m not sure if it’s a temporary detour or representative of their 7th LP, One More Light, but it’s a radical change of pace from the bone-rattling rock of “New Divide” or “What I’ve Done.” And strangely enough, it works.

That could have something to do with the presence of “Gold” hitmaker Kiiara or the magical pen (in my mind they share one) of Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels. Whatever the reason, “Heavy” taps into the tortured vibe of 2017 and has one hell of a chorus. Linkin Park rolls out the video today (March 9) and it finds frontman Chester Bennington and his pink-haired collaborator in an AA meeting. Chester then drops his bundle and fights himself in the bathroom. It more than lives up to the song’s title. Watch up top.
