The Weeknd's 'Starboy': Album Review
Hit or miss? We review The Weeknd's much-hyped 'Starboy' LP.

The Weeknd and Daft Punk’s “I Feel It Coming” video is finally here and it was well worth the wait. The collaborators deliver a retro sci-fi spectacular that evokes the straight-to-video magic of the ’80s. The plot is simple. Our lonely R&B superstar is stranded on an abandoned planet. However, as luck would have it, a female alien from the sun crash lands in his neck of the galaxy and there’s an instant love connection. That’s followed by a tragic turn of events and the masked (and now caped) DJs fly down to inspect the aftermath.

As far as pop music videos go, this is definitely one of the year’s best. “I Feel It Coming” is shaping up to be something of a grower. After a slow start, the song has caught fire on pop radio and crashed into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The arrival of the soon-to-go-viral visual should push it a lot higher than its current peak of number 9. Can the Canadian land two chart-toppers in a row? Time will tell. Watch the clip above and check out the cool ’80s-influenced promo poster below.
