Well, the rumors turned out to be true! Tinashe’s new single is indeed called “Flame” and it drops March 16. she unveiled the sizzling cover on Instagram (above) and even shared a lyric: “Tell me that you’ve still got the flame for me.” The track was apparently produced by BloodPop (Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” and Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion”) and “Waterfall” hitmakers, Stargate. That’s as close as you can get to a sure bet in 2017, so fingers crossed that this is the follow-up hit Tee has been working towards since “2 On.”

The R&B diva has been subliminally teasing “Flame” for weeks with cryptic clues on Instagram. “When you know u got that fire but they ain’t ready for it yet,” the 24-year-old captioned one pic. “Radio mornings mean new music is on the way,” was her description of another. She also used the flame emoji liberally, so we should have known the single was legit. After rolling out an endless stream of features and that Nightride mixtape, “Flame” is the first official single from sophomore LP, Joyride. Let’s hope it was worth the wait.
