Lea Michele Soars On "Anything's Possible"
Lea Michele soars on inspiring 'Places' ballad, "Anything's Possible."

I’m not sure what it says about the state of the music industry when simply standing in front of a microphone and singing in key feels like a revolutionary act, but Lea Michele’s appearance on The Late Late Show was a breath of fresh air. After struggling to find a niche in the pop world with debut LP, Louder, the 30-year-old has seemingly turned her back on it altogether on Places — and the music is all the better for it. This doesn’t feel forced. Lea’s simply doing the modern-day Streisand schtick that she was put on the planet to do.

Apart from restoring a little dignity to late night TV, the songstress also shared the album’s full tracklist. It includes elegant buzz track “Love Is Alive” (watch her perform it above) and inspiring anthem, “Anything’s Possible” (below). The rest of the opus contains material from some of pop’s hottest songwriters including Julia Michaels (“Truce”), Chloe Angelides (“Tornado” and “Letting Go”), Chris Braide (“Heavy Love”) and Wrabel and Ali Tamposi (“Run To You”). Places drops April 28. Pre-order your copy here.
