Zara Larsson's 'So Good': Album Review
Unfortunately, Zara Larsson's 'So Good' doesn't live up to its title. Our review.

Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson have an early Song Of The Summer contender on their hands with “Symphony.” As I wrote in my review of the Swede’s debut LP, dance-pop doesn’t get more sophisticated and grandiose than this avalanche of synths and orchestral instruments. “I’ve been hearing symphonies, before all I heard was silence,” Zara sings on the surprisingly emotional banger. “A rhapsody for you and me, and every melody is timeless.” When you factor is the soaring chorus and a tearjerking video, there should be no stopping it.

Speaking of the visual, it’s a surprisingly moving affair. Footage of the collaborators performing with a full orchestra is interspersed with a powerful narrative about grief and loss. That might sound a little manipulative, but it works with the song and serves as a counterweight to light and airy soundtrack. “Symphony” is the third single from the UK group’s sophomore LP. They are currently tearing up the charts around the globe with “Rockabye.” This should follow suit in the months ahead. Watch the video up top.
