We review Kygo & Selena Gomez's moody club collab, "It Ain't Me."

Six years ago, at a time before Revival and Vogue covers, Selena Gomez starred in Disney’s Wizards Of Waverly Place. Which was actually pretty lit as far as children’s TV goes. Take the episode where she sings “Gypsy” with Shakira, who turns out to be her overweight uncle in a leather vest. Well, it seems the “Good For You” hitmaker recorded a solo version for the show and a snippet of it has finally surfaced online. Her cover is very much of its time, but it’s a cute oddity for Selenators to obsess over while we wait for SG2.

At this point, the album must be almost finished. Selena has recorded collaborations with Gucci Mane and Jax Jones, and already has “Feel Me” in the can. She also cooked up hits with Jacob Kasher while on the road for The Revival World Tour and has spent a lot of time in the studio with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter since returning from lupus treatment. And then there’s “It Ain’t Me,” the 24-year-old’s collaboration with Kygo. Listen to Sel’s “Gypsy” cover below and then check out her duet with Shakira at the bottom of the post.
