Meet PRISTIN: Your New Favorite K-Pop Girl Group
PRISTIN makes a great first impression with catchy debut single, "Wee Woo."

K-Pop has been stuck in a cutesy phase for the past two years, which is about how long it’s been since Girl’s Day released anything. After a lengthy hiatus, the quartet are bringing girl power back with their long-awaited new single “I’ll Be Yours.” The sassy, brassy track sees the foursome taking control of their sexuality and seducing a man on their own terms, which is a far cry from the shy and innocent approach countless other Korean girl groups are taking right now.

Musically, the retro-tinged production and powerful vocals from lead singer Minah echo a handful of other empowered pop divas, from a Back To Basics era Christina Aguilera to Fifth Harmony’s feminist anthem “That’s My Girl.” The music video reflects this, with the Girl’s Day members kicking back while men fight over them, before growing bored with all the caveman antics and leaving together, presumably for a ladies’ night out. It’s not the best Girl’s Day single ever (that would be “Something” or “Expectation”), but it’s great to have them back. Check it out below.
