Cupcakke appears poised to break into the mainstream. For now, though, the raunchy rapper is facing a major setback: Her new album Queen Elizabitch, released last week, was taken down from streaming services. By all appearances, she had nothing to do with it. “The same moment I got the email ‘ur album has been [taken] down’ is the same moment I got the email ‘hi ur album will be on Billboard Monday,'” she says on Twitter.

In since-deleted tweets, Cupcakke placed all blame on an unnamed producer. “I ‘PAID’ key word “paid” for a beat that was sold so many times from a shady producer,” she said. “The beats was buy ‘2’ get one free, the other beat he gave me free, i sit down and I’m listening to the radio and FUTURE WAS RAPPING ON IT.” Cupcakke didn’t specify which Future track. But given the timing, she could mean anything off the Atlanta rapper’s self-titled or HNDRXX, which he released a week apart in February.

Regardless, Cupcakke appears to promise a swift return for Queen Elizabitch. “10 days is all I’m going to say !!!!!!!!!!” she says.
