Cashmere Cat, MØ & SOPHIE’s “9 (After Coachella)” Video Is Adorable
Cashmere Cat’s “9 (After Coachella)” has one of the cutest videos of the year. Instead of serving up the usual cavalcade of big butts or the now-popular tragic death, the Norwegian producer’s visual is a documentary-like introduction to his life. The “Trust Nobody” hitmaker opens up about his love for dogs and shows us his digs in LA (courtesy of Benny Blanco). We even get to meet his parents and see where he used to walk his poodle. Magnus (his real name) then explains the song title.
After showing us a glimpse of Cashmere Cat’s life, the video introduces us to MØ. We meet her lovely mom, see her childhood bedroom and hear stories about a school performance. They even perform the song together in a bathroom mirror. It’s all refreshingly low key and very endearing. The DJ’s debut LP, 9, drops on Friday (April 28) and boasts features from Kehlani, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello and Jhene Aiko.
