Your guide to this week's New Music Friday features Terror Jr, TLC and Emily Warren.

Future‘s “Mask Off” video doesn’t have the whimsy of the #MaskOffChallenge it sparked. You’re not seeing fans dust off their grade school instruments to play classical renditions of that flute loop sampled by Metro Boomin. Instead, the Colin Tilley-directed video gets to the heart of the song: making it out of circumstances so dire, you’d think it was the apocalypse.

The last time Future appeared on a rooftop, for 2012 “Magic” remix featuring T.I.; he was at famed strip club Magic City. This time, the Atlanta rap king stands on a checks cashing place. He got there by some luxury car, with Amber Rose in the passenger seat. Meanwhile on the ground, a masked mob faces off against SWATs, the scene illuminated by torches and police lights.

“Masked Off” recently became Future’s highest-charting song yet, going platinum while reaching No. 7 on the Hot 100. It’s an unexpected hit off his self-titled album, which helped him become the first artist to score back-to-back No. 1 albums in successive weeks. Watch the official video up top.
