Welcome To Your Tape! Selena Gomez Releases ‘Revival’ On Cassette
Producing 13 Reasons Why, which was just renewed for a second season, has really rubbed off on Selena Gomez. The pop star surprised fans by updating her website with a pre-order link for 2015 LP, Revival. The exclusive limited edition tape is expected to arrive on June 23 and has a slightly truncated tracklist (below). With the booming popularity of all things ’80s and ’90s, this is destined to be snapped up quickly. It will also be interesting to see if SG2, the fan title for her upcoming album, is also released on the format.
It’s shaping up to be an exciting few weeks for Selenators. The diva’s club collaboration with Kygo, “It Ain’t Me,” just cracked the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and she is rolling out a new single on May 18 — at least, if a mysterious countdown on her website is any indication. Given the success of Revival, it produced three top 10 hits and is one of the top 5 most-streamed albums of all time by a female artist on Spotify, expectations will be very high for her new music.
