Iggy Azalea Reveals ‘Digital Distortion’ Release Date, Talks “Video Butt”
The summer of Iggy is upon us! After many delays, Iggy Azalea’s sophomore effort, Digital Distortion, will finally see the light of day, and it’s only a matter of weeks before the record drops. The rapper chatted with the crew at The Zach Sang Show and she revealed the album will finally be released on June 30. Digital Distortion was originally slated to be released a year ago, but Iggy took a step back after breaking up with then-fiancé Nick Young to work more on the album. And now, she reveals she put the finishing touches on it back in early December, with the final product coming just in time for summer.
Iggy has been promoting two singles from the album, “Mo Bounce” and “Switch,” a collaboration with Brazilian artist Anitta. The video for “Switch” is slated to be — in true Iggy form — full of booty poppin’. She told the hosts just how to get that “video butt,” and it sounds like a process. Seriously… according to Iggy, getting a flawless video booty involves sheer tights, tacky muscle glue (whatever that is!), and airbrush makeup spray. Perfect for the stage or a music video, but not so practical for real life.
Iggy talked about her plans for the future and how long she sees herself making music (hint: it’s not forever!). She discusses plans for acting and directing roles, and that you probably won’t ever see an Iggy Azalea clothing line. Watch up top.
