Twitter Reacts To The Latest Development In Taylor Swift & Katy Perry’s Beef
In case you’ve been in a coma for the last 24 hours, Taylor Swift elevated pettiness to an extreme sport last night (June 8). The “Shake It Off” singer added her entire back catalogue to Spotify and discounted all of her music on iTunes — at the exact same time that Katy Perry released Witness. Her explanation? She’s just celebrating 1989 passing 10 million sales! Of course, this follows the arrival of diss track “Swish Swish,” a response to Taylor’s own “Bad Blood.” Katy then spilled more tea on Carpool Karaoke and in a subsequent interview with NME.
The reaction to Taylor’s Spotify release has been divided. Some are celebrating the ballsiness of her clap back, while others feel like its too underhanded. Even for the woman who allegedly lied about Kanye West getting permission to namecheck her on “Famous.” Regardless of where you stand, the drama has spawned an outpouring of hilarious memes. Wade through a selection of the funniest and most telling tweets below. Lily Allen even got in on the act and it seems that she is Team Katy.
