Macklemore returns today (June 15) with a “Glorious” new single. It’s the third taste of his second solo LP (he independently released a set called The Language Of My World way back in 2005) after streaming hits “Drug Dealer” and “Wednesday Morning.” Featuring the powerful pipes of Skylar Grey, this is the 33-year-old best, and most autobiographical, solo offering to date. “You know I’m back like I never left, another sprint, another step,” the “Thrift Shop” hitmaker raps. “Another day, another breath, been chasing dreams, but I never slept.”

“I got a new attitude and a lease on life and some peace of mind,” he continues. “Seek and I find I can sleep when I die.” Macklemore is in a deeply reflective mood, but becoming a dad and bouncing back from a drug relapse will do that to you. He looks back on his career and comes to the conclusion that he’s right where he needs to be via Skylar’s soaring chorus. “I feel glorious, glorious, got a chance to start again,” she belts. “I was born for this, born for this. It’s who I am, how could I forget?” Listen below.
