Twitter Reacts To Jay Z's '4:44'
The web is alive with speculation over a series of mysterious ads for '4:44.'

Do you remember those mysterious 4:44 ads that popped up everywhere a couple of weeks ago? The internet was convinced that Jay Z was prepping a new album, but it turned out to be promo for a Tidal film production. Well, it looks like Hov tricked us. Again. 4:44 is also the title of his 13th LP, which arrives on June 30 via an exclusive deal with Tidal and Sprint. Don’t expect to find this one on Spotify any time soon. After all, the legendary rapper recently removed the bulk of his catalogue from the streaming service.

A few more details about the album have started to surface. It was reportedly produced by No I.D. and the lead single is called “Adnis” (his father’s name). Sprint teased a thirty second snippet of the video, which stars acclaimed actors Mahershala Ali and Danny Glover, and it has a boxing theme. The song begins with Jay having a heart-to-heart with his old man. 4:44 is the mogul’s first album since 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, which was originally made available via Samsung. Watch a preview of “Adnis” below.
