Well, this is a little unexpected. Glamor model Katie Price (formerly Jordan) is returning to pop with a new single called “I Got U.” And it isn’t terrible. Contrary to popular belief, the 39-year-old can hold a tune and whatever vocal shortcomings she has are artfully camouflaged by tropical synths. “Take me a million miles from where we are, hold me until the moon don’t see the stars,” she croons on the chorus. “I know that I got you.” That leads to a couple of uncomfortable high notes and a very on-trend drop. I like it.

Of course, the buxom blonde is no stranger to the music scene. She infamously auditioned to represent the UK at Eurovision in 2005 with “Not Just Anybody,” but was robbed by insecure haters. An album of duets with then-husband Peter Andre followed in 2006 (their version of “Islands In The Stream” needs to be heard to be believed), before she fired off her last single — 2010’s inoffensive “Free To Love Again.” Katie Price might not be the pop star we want, but she’s definitely the one 2017 deserves. Listen to “I Got U” below.
