Grace VanderWaal dropped a cute cover of Ed Sheeran's big hit.

After capturing hearts across the globe with her heartfelt lyrics and vocal talent on America’s Got Talent, 13-year-old Grace VanderWaal is back on the scene with a new single called “Moonlight.” The song is her first release since unleashing her debut EP Perfectly Imperfect last December, and it displays a sense of longing and maturity beyond her years. “‘Moonlight’ is about somebody you know very well changing unnaturally over time right in front of you and pushing you away, so you want to help bring them back to their original self,” Grace said of the release.

The track features her signature ukulele strumming over a dazzling production courtesy of Ido Zmishlany. Reflecting on earlier days, she recalls how things have changed. “Remember last year when you told me, to always stay here and never leave me, the light in your eyes made me feel like we were dancing in the moonlight,” she sings over a twinkling beats. Grace’s voice is as strong as ever and the somber subject matter is disguised by a joyful arrangement. Listen below.
