Meet Anette Olzon
This amazing band is from Kitee, Finland. They came together in 1996 and were formerly led by Anette Olzon dating back to 2007 then in 2012 the band announced they were parting ways with her.
“Singer Anette Olzon was plucked out of semi-obscurity (remember the band Alyson Avenue?) to fill Tarja Turunen’s very tall boots in symphonic-metallers Nightwish, but the diminutive Swede beat a reported 2,000 candidates for the gig, and duly rose to the occasion for two well-received studio albums,” wrote Loudwire. “After breaking with the band, Olzon released her solo album ‘Shine’ in 2014.”
