An Update On Kylie's New Single
Kylie Minogue's comeback might be a lot closer than we first thought.

Kylie Minogue is hard at work on her comeback album… in Nashville. The hitmaker, who has dutifully kept fans up to date with her recording sessions, posted a series of pictures from the iconic Bluebird Cafe with Aussie country music songwriter/producers Phil Barton (Lee Bice’s “A Woman Like You”) and Lindsay Rimes (Locash’s “I Know Somebody” and Thomas Rhett’s “Background Music”). She even posted a studio pic with a banjo, so the diva could be embracing cowboy style all over again.

This is a slightly confusing development given that the pop icon’s new record label promised “a great, big, classic Kylie pop record.” Having said that, the recording process has already delivered some twists and turns with Sigala randomly announcing that he produced the lead single and The Sun hinting at a politically-charged opus. Of course, the songwriters she is currently working with have also created anthems for pop singers like Troye Sivan and Tina Arena, so this could all just be a red herring. However, I kind of like the idea of bluegrass Kylie!

@philbarton222 @lindsayrimes … serious listening game faces ….
