Selena Gomez’s Fans Think “Fetish” Is Being Sabotaged
Edit: This post has been updated with more fan tweets.
Selena Gomez’s fans are convinced that her new single is being sabotaged. Conspiracy theories are a dime a dozen, but Selenators have receipts. “Fetish” was briefly unavailable on iTunes and there was a mix up at Spotify when the sexy bop was attributed to another artist. The usually placid fan-base is now up in arms about an apparent glitch on YouTube, which hampered views. Of course, shit happens and this is probably all a coincidence. It also doesn’t help that “Fetish” is a restricted word on social media, which means it can’t trend.
“So these are all the fucking strange things that happened/are happening with Fetish,” one miffed fan wrote after compiling the evidence. “Someone’s definitely sabotaging Selena.” Another Selenator did the math and concurred. “So @YouTube wants to tell me that a video which got 400,000 in 22 minutes also got only 600,000 in the last 7 hours?!” It was too much for one Stan. “I’m so angry, Why every body are against Selena …. Spotify, iTunes and now @YouTube.” Put on your detective hat and read the tweets below.

.@Interscope do something to protect your artist. Spotify, iTunes now YouTube? Not only messy release and now sabotage?

2️⃣. Her songs glitched on all music services as duplicates were uploaded. This caused them to drop by many spots on Spotify Charts. Proof: pic.twitter.com/yCOZq8nu7p

3️⃣. The music video for the song did not trend on YouTube even though other videos, getting less views, did trend. Proof: pic.twitter.com/XqNCHQRybR

It also didn't appear in recommendations. The problem was not the word Fetish. The audio video did trend and was recommended. Proof: pic.twitter.com/sRgs24WoQr
