Cassie's 'Me + U' Revival
Cassie currently has a top 30 hit on iTunes with a song she released in 2006.

And she’s back! Cassie Ventura (I guess she’s now going by her full name) has officially joined the Bad Boy Entertainment/Epic Records roster. The much-missed R&B diva celebrates the occasion by dropping “Love A Loser,” the slinky bop she premiered on the OVO SOUND radio show a couple of weeks ago. Produced by Ben Billions and DannyBoy, the icy kiss-off stays true to Cassie’s minimal R&B sound. “I’d rather lose a lover than to love a loser, everything you did I wouldn’t do it to you,” the 30-year-old coos over a sparse, flickering beat.

The short-but-very-sweet anthem is complemented by a G-Eazy verse and is described as “the beginning of what will be a prolific 2017 for Cassie” in the press release. Hopefully, this means we’ll finally get full, studio versions of “Make-Up” and “Glass Ceiling.” Actually, any new material would be welcome at this point! Unlike most mid-’00s sensations, Cassie’s sound has never gone out of style. Her frosty, electro-tinged R&B sound is still ahead of the curve and there’s no reason she can’t stage one hell of a comeback. Blast “Love A Loser” below.
