Miley Cyrus Returns With "Malibu"
Miley Cyrus returns with the cute, but clumsy "Malibu." Watch the dreamy video.

Surprise! Miley Cyrus’ 6th LP is called Younger Now and drops on September 29. The pop star casually posted the information on her website in the middle of the night, but it didn’t take long for Smilers to find. As for the singer’s new direction? She has been fairly transparent about exploring a country/folk sound — albeit with a pop twist. Lead single “Malibu” really set the tone for the project, while ballad uplifting “Inspired” shows her dedication to twangy pop.

Miley has spoken about the project at length, telling Billboard that she wrote a song for Hillary Clinton and another for women in the workplace. However, it’s not overtly political. “This record is a reflection of the fact that yes, I don’t give a fuck, but right now is not a time to not give a fuck about people,” the 24-year-old revealed. “I’m giving the world a hug and saying, ‘Hey, look. We’re good — I love you.’ And I hope you can say you love me back.”
