Bantu's 'Juice' Is A Summery Bop
Zimbabwe-born producer Bantu delivers a summery explosion of 'Juice.'

Zimbabwe-born/LA-based producer Bantu first appeared on my radar last year with “Holiday,” a vibrant mix of African rhythms and driving club beats. He then upped the ante by incorporating pop hooks and catchy chants on “Roll With Me.” That banger ranks as one of favorite songs of 2017, but there’s more where that come from on the newcomer’s debut EP, Africa For The Summer. Bantu delivers six multi-layered, afro-pop anthems that will have your feet moving and hips dipping by the end of the first song.

While “Roll With Me” is the obvious starting point, recent buzz track “Visa” — a collaboration with Elliphant and Soaky Siren — is another bop with a massive chorus and bone-rattling beats. As for the rest, “Juice” sounds like its the right sync away from going viral, while “Attention” is perhaps the most accessible song on the set with its shiny synths and sexy lyrics. If you’re looking to broaden your musical horizons and still turn up, Africa For The Summer is the EP for you. Stream it in full below.
