Katy Perry takes a basketball to the face in her Swish Swish music video which is set to drop this week. Today (August 21), the pop star hopped on Twitter to share a preview of the visual, and she encouraged fans to get ready for what would undoubtedly be “the hottest mess in history.” Late last month some behind the scenes photos implied that the single would be getting a sporty video treatment, and the new footage confirms just that as The Sheep face off against The Tigers in a basketball game.

In the trailer, Katy is the captain for The Tigers, and her team is determined to take home the win. Taking a page out of Demi Lovato’s book, it seems that the visual will also be a star-studded affair. The 32-year-old teamed up with gif queen Gretchen for the single’s lyric video, and she’s called in a bevy of famous faces for the official video including Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, Glee’s Jenna Ushkowitz, Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo, Christine Sydelko, Bill Walton and Rich Eisen. Katy’s collaborator Nicki Minaj is set to make an appearance in the “Swish Swish” music video, but it is unclear what role she’ll play.

Although Katy has expressed a desire to bury the hatchet with Taylor Swift, the video still seems to throw a bit of shade her way. After the 1989 hitmaker released her thinly veiled diss track “Bad Blood” in 2014, Katy replied with a cryptic tweet warning people to watch out for “the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.” In the video, The Sheep’s logo is a wolf wearing a sheep costume. The only way that the logo could have more implicitly referenced Taylor is if it had been a snake instead of a wolf in disguise. It’s been rumored that the two were set to make amends publicly at the VMAs, but this may make things just a little awkward.

The teaser doesn’t include an exact release date, but it promises that the video will be dropping sometime soon. Katy is set to host the VMAs this Sunday (August 27), and it seems like as good a time as any for the debut. The Witness superstar is taking the stage to perform and could just as easily premiere the video at some point during the evening. Watch the video’s preview below!
