New Find: Kristian Galva's 'Wrong For This'
Kristian Galva has a hit on his hands with catchy bop 'Wrong For This.'

Baker Grace makes quite an impression with debut single, “Am I Talking To You?” The 16-year-old, who previously featured on Aokay’s club-banger “Too Young,” takes a very different approach on her solo debut — tackling the disintegration of a friendship over a sparse acoustic arrangement that may (or may not) interpolate The Cure’s “Lullaby.” “Am I talking to you? I don’t think you know what you’re saying,” she sings on the fed-up chorus. “I know you’re trying to be cool but I’m about to run out of patience.”

What’s it all about? “Music is more than just something I do for myself, it is important to me, because it has the power to connect with others — even when they don’t realize it,” Baker explains in a press release. “My song, ‘Am I Talking to You,’ is about a friend I lost because she started to care more about her reputation, drugs, and alcohol than our friendship. It’s a situation I imagine many listening will have experienced on either side.” Listen to the very impressive track below.
