Fergie's Messy Album Rollout
Fergie's 'Double Dutchess' rollout is a hot mess. Catch up on the trainwreck.

EDIT: Fergie also dropped “You Already Know,” a collaboration with Nicki Minaj. Listen below.

After a torturously slow and drawn-out start, Fergie’s Double Dutchess is finally gaining some momentum. The follow-up to 2006’s iconic The Dutchess is now available for pre-order. Not only that, but it is confirmed to be a visual album and the 42-year-old just dropped a video for buzz track “Hungry.” The Black Eyed Peas diva first previewed the song way back in May, 2016 — so it should already be familiar to the faithful. Produced by Yonni and JP Did This, the hypnotic hip-hop track sounds more like an interlude than an actual song.

“To say it’s complicated, understatement of the year, well maybe conflict made it the new flavor in your ear,” Fergie spits over gothic, chant-filled production. “They know that I’m a problem that’s why everybody scared,
whatever doesn’t kill you can make you an ill-ionaire.” Rick Ross then drops a verse and the song ends. The video, which was directed by Bruno Ilogti, is a stylish black-and-white affair. It all looks very slick and expensive, but the track itself doesn’t leave much of an impression. Watch up top.
