Miley Cyrus dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show today (September 7) to perform new single, “Younger Now.” The 25-year-old paid tribute to Elvis Presley in the track’s Bandstand-themed video and also honored The King in her latest live performance. The “Malibu” hitmaker looked resplendent in a pink, rhinestone-encrusted jumpsuit and towering quiff. She focused on delivering a competent vocal and sounded a lot better than she did at the recent MTV Video Music Awards. Ellen even joined her for a twirl at the end of the song.

Despite a couple of high-profile performances, “Younger Now” is yet to connect with fans or the general public. The feel-good anthem has only managed to peak at number 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is already languishing outside the top 100 on iTunes. It’s curious because it’s easily the best song Miley has released this era after insomnia-curing missteps “Malibu” and “Inspired.” Perhaps the singer’s appearance on The Ellen Show will breathe a little life into the campaign. Watch her in action up top.
